Obituary

ANDERSON - Danielle Monique Wilson “$horty”, 36, of Anderson lost her battle with addiction and left this earthly world on Saturday, January 9, 2021. She is now at home with her father where she is no longer suffering and can finally be at peace.
Danielle was born April 26, 1984 in Anderson, IN to Danny & Carolyn Wilson. She spent her early years in Muncie before returning to Anderson where she attended high school and would remain at home with her mother until her passing.
Danielle was a 2002 graduate of Highland High School where she was a member of JROTC. She completed the Associates of Applied Science in Medical Assisting at Harrison College in 2016.
Most recently she had been employed as a Home Health Aid and Phlebotomist. She had previously been employed at Bob’s Car Wash and Rose’s Department Store.
Survivors include her mother, Carolyn Wilson; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and George Ancil; three nephews, Andrew Ancil, Brandon Ancil and Skyler Ancil, all of Anderson. Also surviving are great-aunts, Sandy Stephens, Anderson; Connie (Ronnie) Baker, Muncie; cousins, Yulanda Mae Hall, Anthony Lee Foley and Rusty (Chasity) Jones of Tennessee. Lastly, she is survived by three fur babies, Sweetie; Lu Lu and her sidekick Miss Kali.
Danielle was preceded in death by her father, Danny Wilson; paternal grandmother Vauda Mae Wilson; maternal grandmother, Kay Ice and special aunts Debbie and Donna Wilson. She also lost many close friends along the way.
Danielle had a deep love for all animals and regularly took care of neighborhood strays. She was proud of her multiple tattoos and piercings. She loved thrifting and rummaging, but most of all she was content to be at home spending time with her fur babies and her mom and best friend, Carolyn.
Anyone who knew Danielle, knew that she ran full force all of the time. She either loved you or hated you, but either way she made a point to let you know how she felt. She spoke her mind, whether you liked it or not. If you were on her team she would have your back no matter what. But if you weren’t….look out.
Danielle had a hard exterior, but she was good-hearted and would give the shirt off her back if you needed it. If you needed a place to go, she was there. She was deeply loved and will be missed by many.
