Nancy Mae Reynolds, 79, of Anderson, died unexpectedly January 10, 2021 at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
She was born October 6, 1941 and was a lifelong resident of Anderson.
She was a devoted follower of God and had a close relationship with Him.
Nancy dropped out of school in the Eighth grade, but while in her 50's obtained her G.E.D. in which she proudly shared with others in hopes of being an inspiration.
Nancy was a very strong willed, caring, loyal woman. Family was important to her. Her care and love for family and people often was admired. Nancy could draw and loved poetry. She even wrote a few poems that were published in a book a few years back. In earlier times, Nancy worked for the schools and coached her kid's softball team. Growing up, Nancy worked in the school along with some customer service, but her main job, the job she did the best was being a wife and mom. She is also a big sister to 13 siblings and many nephews and nieces.
She leaves behind a big family that loved her dearly; her husband, James Reynolds; three sons, Jerry (Kerri) Reynolds, Barry Reynolds and Robert Reynolds; two daughters, Karen Smith and Sharon Sparks; multiple grandchildren, Tony Sparks, Mahaley (Shawn) Teeter, Brooke Reynolds, Ashley (Chris) Austin, Brandon (Ashley) Reynolds, Blythe (Branden) Anderson, Alex Reynolds, Jansen (Haley) Sparks, Chelsea (Kirby) Whyte, Darcy (Cord) Goodson, James D. Reynolds, Andrew Reynolds, Russel Reynolds and Jakob Reynolds; several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emery Fetty; her mother, Jewel Fetty and three daughters, Robin Renee (Reynolds) Patterson; Bonita Sue Houge and Darcy Lynn Houge
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, January 15, 2021 at East Maplewood Cemetery with Pastor Don Billey officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
