Diane Bellamy, 64, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at PruittHealth in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Private graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery.
Ms. Bellamy was born February 19, 1956, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Earnest “Shorty” & Dorothy Griffin Bellamy. She was a 1974 graduate of Fitzgerald High School. She worked at Dock’s Credit Jewelry for many years. She later worked for Bank of America. Ms. Bellamy loved to bake and worked in the bakery at Winn-Dixie and Wal-Mart. She loved to sing and enjoyed attending the reunions of the Northside Baptist Church Youth Choir. She was a member of Open Gates Ministry.
She is survived by a daughter, Kelli Lott of North Carolina; two brothers: Larry & Judy Bellamy and Edgar & Carolyn Bellamy, all of Fitzgerald; nieces and a nephew: Sandy Smith & Tim Fussell of Fitzgerald, Amanda & Michael Owens of Irwinville, and Larry Bellamy, Jr. & Andrea of Jacksonville, Florida; great-nieces and a nephew: Traci & Anthony Middlebrooks of Fitzgerald, Ansley Bellamy of Jacksonville, Florida, Ella Bellamy of Jacksonville, Florida and Michael Paul Owens, Jr. of Irwinville; and a great-great-niece on the way, Ellie Belle Middlebrooks. She is also survived by her best friends, Pam & Larry Davis of Fitzgerald and Barbara Davis of Adel.
