In Taunton, Lawrence Medeiros, age 90, passed away from complications of pneumonia and Covid virus at Morton Hospital on January 8, 2021. Lawrence was the loving husband of Elizabeth (Lefaivre) Medeiros who passed in August of 2020. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Albert and Amelia (Rose) Medeiros. He worked for the TMLP as a lineman/tree cutter and previously worked as a cable repair man for Raytheon. Lawrence proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, wine making, gardening, stamp collecting, bird watching, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was an active member of the Holy Ghost Society of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Taunton. Lawrence leaves his children, Deborah Shealy and husband Stephen of Taunton, Patricia Dolan and husband Daniel of East Taunton, Joanne McGuire and husband Robert of Raynham, Raymond Medeiros and his late wife Maria of East Taunton, and his late son Brian Medeiros. Lawrence was predeceased by his siblings, Everett Angenola of Florida, Albert Medeiros Jr. of California, Walter Medeiros of Taunton, and Marylou Medeiros of Taunton. He is survived by a sister Rita Medeiros of Onset. Lawrence leaves his beloved 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Church in East Taunton on Wednesday, January 20th at 10am. Burial will be in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
