Obituary

Age 93 of Saint Paul, MN
Went peacefully to heaven on January 8, 2021. Loving Brother, Father, Father in-law, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Friend. Preceded in death by parents, Lawrence F. and Virginia; sister Elizabeth Batchelor; Louise (Peasley); spouse Mabel (Frost); spouse Mayvis (Thompson); daughter-in-law Laura, niece Nedra Boitnott. Survived by 3 sons, David (Sharon), Kenneth, Charles (friend Patty); special friend and companion Maxine Mundt; 2 brothers, Donald (Carol), Stanley (Sarah); brother-in-law, Jim Batchelor; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 nieces & nephews. Larry was a graduate of Saint Paul Central high school class of 1945. After high school, he entered the Navy and served during WWII in the Philippines. After the war, Larry found a career in Audio-Visual Services with Unisys for 35+ years. Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, boating, skiing, winters in Florida and Arizona and was also a world traveler. He was deeply rooted in his faith. Volunteering at Grace Church, participating in church activities, The Classics of Grace Church, dinners for 8 and mission trips. His hobbies included woodworking, endless whistling, giving awesome hugs and going to Café Latte. Since Larry was a child, he had a great love for the Minnesota State Fair. You may even see his red bench if you look for it. A special thanks to the entire staff at EagleCrest, the Physicians and Hospice at Allina for their extraordinary care, love and support. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
