James Michael Jamer, 68, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021. A resident of Tewksbury, Jim was born in Lowell, MA on November 15, 1952. He was the son of the late Hank and Dot (Horton) Jamer of Tewksbury.
Jim spent his early childhood in Billerica before moving to Tewksbury. He was a 1971 graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, boating and swimming at his family cottage in Barnstead, NH, watching the Boston sports teams, with the Bruins being his favorite, and he loved his snacks. He loved all music, especially Willie Nelson. He worked for Hank Jamer & Sons concrete foundations and at Jamer Crane Service before retiring.
Jim will always be remembered for his humor and his contagious laugh.
He was the beloved father of Missy (Mike) Sheehan of Goffstown, NH, Patti (Sam) Pullium of Nashville, NC, Jenna (Keith) Apitz of Hudson, NH, and Josh Jamer of Haverhill, MA, and was the loving grandfather of Mercedes Grenier, TJ Grenier, Lexus Wilson, Shelbie Terrell, and Jake, Shaylee and Luke Apitz; and also the great grandfather of Rylee, Jaxxon, Ella, Hunter and Royce.
He leaves behind four brothers: Bill (Sue) Jamer of Pinehurst, MA, Bob Jamer of Farmington, NH, Jack (Debbie) Jamer of Salem, NH, and Mike (Colleen) Jamer of New Ipswich, NH; and his four sisters Sandy Jamer of Tewksbury, MA, Kathy (Ted) Oliver of Barnstead, NH & Springfield, VA, Nancy (Steve) Higgins of Tewksbury, MA, and Cindy (Buddy) Chase of Salem, NH. He is also survived by 21 nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
A private funeral service will be held at the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of Dewey and Main Streets (Rte 38) Tewksbury Center, phone 978-851-2950.
