Christine L. Mooney, 79, formerly of Lindberg Avenue, Johnston, died Monday, January 11, 2021 at HopeHealth and Palliative Care in Providence.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Ella (Jaeger) Mooney and sister of the late Howard T Mooney Jr. She had lived in Johnston until moving to Hebert’s Nursing Home in Smithfield.
Christine taught school in North Scituate and later at Johnson & Wales. She was also a Professor of English at J&W prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her niece, Deborah (Mooney) Rowley of Greenville and her nephew, Alan Gustafson of Glocester. She was also a great Aunt and great great Aunt.
Her funeral services will be private.
