Obituary

Scott David Peck, (Papa) 49 a lifelong resident of Bellingham, passed away January 10, 2021 at home unexpectedly from unknown heart disease.

Scott was born December 14, 1971 in Needham, MA. He was a 1990 graduate of Bellingham High School where he played both soccer and baseball. He worked many years for Shaws Supermarket as their Crew Chief Manager where he made many lifelong friends.

Scott’s pride and joy was his daughter Breanna, his grandson Rowan and the love of his life and soul mate Lisa. He was the person you wanted to know, the guy that made you happy and
smile and his laugh .... his laugh was contagious and will be heard in our memories always. He lived a life that we all wish we could live. He lived on his terms, his rules and if you were in his circle and he loved you he would give you the shirt off his back. (Unless it was his Pats t-shirt or his favorite flannel).

Scott’s happy place was Bridgton Maine sitting on the lake, floating in a tube or firing up the grill. A “self proclaimed” master griller and chef. He could make anything and even participated in a few competitions. The rarer the better and of course it will have Mayo in the recipe or at least on the side.

He could be found with his wife and partner in crime watching football (or teasing each other who’s team was better), relaxing after a long day with a Mai tai, a little keno and he will kill us for this one.... but a little jersey shore.

Scott never missed a moment in his daughters life. Pacing the fields at soccer mumbling what the refs were doing wrong , standing proud to see her off to every dance, buying her first beer and more recently beaming with pride over the birth of his grandson. He was so excited and proud to be his Papa.

Scott loved football or more specifically the Patriots and still his #12, Tom Brady, Sunday’s at home, Baseball and the Sox and anyone playing the Yankees. He loved fishing and taught his daughter before she was old enough to reel in the line. He loved spending time with family and friends. He had a sense of humor and a sarcasm that he passed along to his daughter as well as his love for cooking. Scott had a zest for life and enjoyed it to its fullest. He was funny, smart, thoughtful and generous. No matter where he went, Scott always made a friend. He was just a person you wanted to know. We could write for days and never be able to really tell you who he was because he was one of a kind. A good guy. He is almost indescribable.

Scott is survived and will be forever missed by his wife and partner of over 10 years, Lisa Saster Peck of Bellingham. His daughter Breanna Peck and her partner Dylan Elman and Grandson, Rowan Scott Elman of Bellingham. Scott is also survived by his parents David F. and Beth L. Peck of Bellingham, his sister Christine Peck and his nephew Hunter Morin of Blackstone. His Mother in-law Carol Saster of Franklin and his father in-law, Fred (Butch) Saster of Cape Cod. His Brother and sister in-law Stephanie and Chris Briggs and favorite little people, his niece and nephew Taylor and Ryan Briggs of Franklin. He is also survived by his co-parent and forever friend, Erin Prouty and her husband Bill of Blackstone, many other nieces and nephews and friends that were more like family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service Friday January 15th, at St. Mary’s. Cemetery, Franklin at 10AM.

Calling hours are Thursday in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 5-7PM.
