New Bedford – Mary J. (Gomes) Pimentel died Wednesday March 15, 2006 at St. Lukes Hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of Francisco “Frank” Pimentel. Survivors include 3 Sisters Louisa Lopes and Mary Gomes Silva both of New Bedford, and the late Rose Gomes Andrade. Several Nieces and Nephews.
Mrs. Pimentel was born in Dartmouth, MA., was raised in the Cape Verde Island and returned here in 1950, She was the Daughter of the late Joaquim Manuel Gomes and Anna Maria (Rosario). Mrs. Pimentel was Retired Machine Operator for Aerovox Corp.
Her funeral will be Saturday March 18,2006 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:00 with a Service to follow at the Pentacostal Assembly Church at 9:00 A.M. Visiting hours will be Friday March 17, 2006 from 2- 4 and 7-9 P.M. Burial to take place at St. John Cemetery
