Donald G. Pike, 89, of Hanson, Massachusetts unexpectedly died on January 8, 2021.
Born in Virginia in 1931 of the late Harold Pike and Nellie (Crawford) Pike, he was proud of his 20 years of service in the Navy attaining the rank of Chief Boatswain’s Mate and serving in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
After his service in the Navy, he spent 2 years as a truck driver for the Local 25 working at Carter Rice Paper in Braintree.
He was the husband of the late Dorothy Pike and survived by brothers Wayne and Clyde Pike. Don lived a fulfilling life as a father to Carol Dever and her husband Tom, Terri McKay and her husband Gary, Frank Nelson, Jim Nelson and beloved Lou Data, Donald Pike Jr., Lauren Rice and husband Doug, and the late Greg Pike. Don was also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday January 12th at 11AM at St. James Cemetery in Whitman, MA.
