Obituary

Deborah H. (Oliver) Chestercove 71, of Franklin, passed away, Thursday January 7, 2021 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the beloved wife of Richard P. “Rick” Chestercove, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.

Born April 10, 1949, in New Kensington, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late David and Athalee (Echon) Oliver, she was a long time Franklin resident.

She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and worked as an operator for AT & T and was a secretary for the Pillsbury Company. Her greatest work came from being a wife and mother. She treasured caring for her children and grandchildren.

Deborah enjoyed many simple things, going to the Cape, amusement parks, watching the Patriots and Pittsburg Steelers, watching old movies, TV shows, especially the Twilight Zone and bowling.

She was a member of the Saturday morning bowling leagues at the former Ficco’s with her kids, and a member of St. Mary’s Church, Franklin.

Deborah was always giving and always looked forward to buying gifts, whether it was a birthday or Christmas.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Sara Skelskie and her husband Adam of Wilmington, David Chestercove and his partner Lynda Baker of Franklin, a sister, Marilyn McCarthy of Framingham, her adored grandchildren, Steven Chestercove, Samantha Skelskie and Joshua Skelskie.

Also surviving are many nieces & nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend to attend her funeral Mass Tues. Jan. 12th, in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10AM. To view the Mass click stmarysfranklin.org

Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 5-7PM.

Please remember due to Covid-19 public wakes are held at capacity limits and mean that your visit to the funeral home should be brief to allow other guests time to pay their respects to the family. Face coverings are required at the funeral home and church.
