Obituary

Virginia C. “Ginger” (Ventura) Hogan, age 69, of Brockton, died unexpectedly, January 5, 2021 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born, raised and educated in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Costello) Ventura. For many years, Virginia enjoyed waitressing in Brockton for several local restaurants. Virginia was both funny and compassionate and had a big heart. Time spent with her children and grandchildren was most special to her. She also enjoyed cats, crafting, cooking, baking and giving gifts to friends and family. She attended any social event she could and could be found shopping at the markets and yard sales.

Virginia was the mother of Susan Leonard and her husband Daniel of West Bridgewater and Thomas Hogan and his wife Elena of Bridgewater. She was the loving grandmother of Matthew, Sean and Emily Leonard and Cameron, Riley, Brendan and Maxwell Hogan and sister of Marilyn Murphy of Punta Gorda, FL, William Ventura of Belvoir VA and the late Darelene Hogan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a charitable donation in Ginger’s memory to The Well: A Center for Hope and Healing for online donations: click here
