Obituary

Bruce M. Doucette, 69, of Franklin died suddenly January 3 at Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Joanne (Cornelio) Doucette for the past 31 years.

Born in Glendale , California, September 23, 1951, the son of the late George and Carlena (Evans) Doucette, Mr. Doucette was raised in Waltham and had lived in Franklin since 1991.

He was a 1970 graduate of Waltham High School.

Bruce has worked for the federal government for the GSA Fleet Maintenance in Boston for many years. He later worked as a shuttle driver for Standard Parking at EMC/Dell until retiring.

Bruce was an avid New England sports fan who loved his Boston Red Sox . However, Bruce’s greatest passion was cruising. He enjoyed cruising several times a year to the many Caribbean Islands, Bermuda and many other destinations.

Mr. Doucette served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era War on board the USS Saginaw.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his siblings, Brian Doucette, Betsy Kane, Barbara Doucette, Carla Doucette, Andrew Doucette, Peter Doucette and Steven Doucette.

He was the brother of the late Kevin Doucette, Daniel Doucette, Susan Doucette, and his nephew Sean LeBlanc.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 7 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com)131 Main Street, Franklin from 4-7 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at a later date when COVID -19 restrictions are ended.
