Grace Elizabeth Molonson, 65, of Bozrah died on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. Grace was born in New London on December 10, 1955, the daughter of William and Helen Molonson, Sr. of Groton.
Grace grew up in Groton/Waterford and graduated from Waterford High School. Grace loved listening to the oldies and singing along in her sweet voice. Grace enjoyed her time spent with the Special Olympics and won medals in swimming. Grace also looked forward to the holidays and time spent with family, especially all of her nieces and nephews. Grace was known for her jovial spirit and great sense of humor.
Grace is survived by her sisters Barbara Lange of California, Helen Moore of Groton, and Theresa Molonson, also of Groton. Grace is survived by her brothers William Jr., Paul and John Molonson, all of Groton. Grace is predeceased by her brother Michael Molonson of Norwich.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the caring staffs at Oak Hill and the UCP of Eastern CT. These places were like home and the staff and residents became a part of her family. A special thank you to the compassionate staff at Midstate Medical Center for providing Grace with great care and compassion in her final days.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 10:30a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 56 Sacred Heart Drive, Groton. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
