WORCESTER-Earl Edgar Prince, 55, of 61 Sussex Lane, died Monday, March 13th in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves 2 sons, Matthew P. Prince of Worcester and Andrew D. Prince of Gardner, his mother, Alice G. (Howarth) Prince of Worcester, a brother, Reldon D. Prince, Jr. and his wife Rochelle D. of Gainesville, FL, and a granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Miller. His sister, Carol Mae (Prince) Grammatic died in 1982.
He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Reldon D. Prince, Sr. Mr. Prince was a 1969 graduate of Doherty Memorial High School and attended Andover College. He worked as a service manager for the Cast-ion Corporation. He was a member of the Worcester Order of the DeMolay and was an active member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and its choir. Mr. Prince’s heritage can be traced to the Mayflower and included the first woman to step on Plymouth Rock. His ancestors also fought in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 18th at 11:00 AM in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street. Burial will be private. A calling hour will be held in the church from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A reception will be held in St. Matthew’s hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince Memorial Fund, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA 01610. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
