Obituary

Michele Dupuis, 74, of Tewksbury, formerly of Plaistow, NH gained her angel wings on January 1, 2021.  Her son, Tommy in Heaven could simply not wait another day for this loving reunion and beautiful soul. Her final day was in her home surrounded by her entire family.  It was spent joyously, filled with laughter, and with more love than one could think humanly possible. It epitomized her life and most beautiful qualities.

Michele was born in Haverhill, MA to the late Valmore and Helen Landry.  Eventually moving to New Jersey and New York, she spent her summers and holidays in Haverhill with her beloved grandparents.  It was here that she forged lifelong friendships including her best friend, Patty. Michele married and also raised her family here with her former husband, Tom Dupuis. Together they had three children, Tommy, Melanie, and Toby.  Her devotion to her family was evident to all who knew her. Although she had many difficult days caring tirelessly for her young son, Tommy during his battle with leukemia, she was admired by many for strength, love, and humor.  Her family time at Lovers Lane was simply her most beloved and those memories lasted her a lifetime.

Michele had such a special way about her that touched so many lives.Whether you were an acquaintance, friend, neighbor, co-worker, or family member there is no doubt that you have a special place in your heart for her. She often spoke of the many special relationships and memories she had during her lifetime. She truly did treasure so many people and those people lived in her heart. She was very giving to all and spent years volunteering for the Holy Angels Food Pantry and Plaistow Senior Center.

When Michele was in your presence you were sure to know it. She was known for her contagious laugh, sassiness, and her endless humor. She loved fun and knew how to have it, and very often the New Yorker came out in her. She loved her culinary delights and anyone who had her cooking will never forget it! In her day, she was known for her elaborate dinner parties and if you were lucky enough to be invited you never wanted to leave.

Michele’s grandchildren, Kailey and Ryan were her “precious babies”.  They loved her youthful, funny and naughty spunk. Their absolute treasured moments were shopping with her and dining out. She always left a shocking comment or fun remark wherever they went together. Very often they forgot she was a “grandmother” and were left rolling with laughter.

Her beloved family includes her predeceased precious son, Tommy; her daughter, Melanie and her husband, Dave; her son, Toby and his wife, Kerri and her grandchildren, Kailey and Ryan. Her family promises to honor her memory with all the spunk, sass, and humor she had, and pass on the love and hugs.

Respecting Michele’s humor and wishes, she did not want “to be on display for everyone to look at”. If you wish to honor her memory, please make a donation to The Jimmy Fund.  This charity was very dear to her heart as they provided endless support to her and our family.  Michele’s final resting place will be alongside her son, Tommy at Holy Angels Cemetery. Arrangements by the Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA 978-851-2061.
