Obituary


Ernest Hebert Jr. ,82, of 162 Cato St., Woonsocket, died Tuesday at home. He was the husband of Celia (Coleman) Hebert. Mr. Hebert was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Ernest and Marie (Vadnais) Hebert.
He was a self-employed carpenter for Hebert’s Remodeling for over 35 years before retiring in 1980. Mr. Hebert was United States Navy Veteran serving in WWII, and was a longtime member of the VFW Post 6342 in Forestdale.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hebert is survived by two daughters, Claudette “Cookie” Hebert, of Dorchester, NH, and Lisa Vickers, of Harrisville, three brothers, Henry, Paul, and Leo Hebert, four sisters, Jeannette, Cecile, Alice, and Pauline Hebert, and three grandchildren, Jason and Kyle Vickers, and Richard Stockwell.
He was also a brother of the late Theodore, Roland, Roger, and Ernest H. Hebert.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Charles Church, North Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be held in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
