Liliane H. Duquette
Former Designer for Lowell Lingerie Company

WINDHAM, NH: Liliane H. (Lodiot) Duquette, age 98, a resident of Windham, NH for the past 8 years, formerly of Tewksbury and Lowell, passed away at the Warde Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Windham, NH on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, following a lengthy illness.

She was the beloved wife of Louis Denis Duquette, who passed away on November 1, 2006.

Born in Dijon, France on June 23, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Auguste J. Lodiot and the late Marie O. (Poilvet) Lodiot.

Liliane was raised in Auxonne, France. She attended local schools and graduated from Auxonne High School.

After completing high school, Liliane also received a teaching certificate in elementary education. During WWII she was a secretary to a general in the French underground, where she met her late husband Louis while he was serving in the U.S. Army and stationed in France.

In 1950, Liliane become a U.S. Citizen and resided in Barre, Vermont for several years until moving to Lowell. In 1979, she moved to Tewksbury, where she resided until moving to Windham, NH in 2013.

After raising her five children, Liliane entered the workforce and worked for many years as a Designer for the former Lowell Lingerie Company.

Liliane was an accomplished pianist and could play numerous melodies from memory. In addition, she enjoyed tremendous skill as a seamstress, artist and gardener.

In her early years, she was a member of the former International Institute of Lowell, which was as an information and resource center for multiple cultures and ethnicities.

Liliane is survived by her five children, Allan R. Duquette and his wife Evelyn (Burrhus) of Jasper, TX, Evelyn V. Saad and her husband Thomas of Windham, NH, Linda M. Cote and her husband Ronald of Rye, NH, Michael E. Duquette and his wife Janet (Byrne) of Lowell, MA, and Paul A. Duquette and his wife Carina (Madriaga) of Longmont, CO. Liliane was the grandmother of Ann Marie Pulliam, Christopher Duquette, Nicole and Thomas Saad, Brian and Matthew Cote, Stephen, David, Amanda and Andrew Duquette, and great grandmother of Allan and James Pulliam, Jacob and Jesse Duquette, Vivienne Saad, Sydney and Callie Duquette and Devin and Mitchell Duquette.

Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Rd., Andover. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In adherence to State Covid-19 guidelines, church service limited to 80 attendees, cemetery limited to 25 attendees. Masks and social distancing required at all venues. In lieu of flowers, donations honoring her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Ave., Waltham, MA 02452 or online at www.alz.org. Due to Covid-19, there are No Public Calling Hours. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury.
