Obituary

In Taunton, James F. Leonard, age 90, passed away peacefully in his home with his loving family by his side on December 31, 2020. James is survived by his loving wife Vonda Lee (Seekell) Leonard of Taunton. He was born in Dighton, the son of the late Paul & Julia (Driscoll) Leonard. James had resided in Taunton most of his life. He served his country honorably during the Korean War while in the U.S. Navy. James worked until his retirement as an electrician for local union #235. He was a former member of the Elk’s for 43 years and the American Legion for 62 years. James enjoyed golfing, going to White Horse Beach in Plymouth and spending time with his friends and family. James leaves his children; Michael Leonard of CA, Patricia Stiles and husband Leonard of Plymouth, Pamela Green and husband David of New Bedford, Carol Lee Leonard of Fairhaven, Susan Almeida and husband Dwayne of New Bedford and Rita Fuller of Taunton. He also leaves his 10 loving grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and his sister Anne Charlebois of Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass and will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Taunton on Wednesday, January 6th at 10am. Visitation is kindly omitted. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Arrangements are under the care of the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home in Taunton.
