Obituary

LOWELL Patrick J. ‘Pinkey’ Rivanis, 70, of Lowell, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was the beloved husband of RuthElyn (Morgan) Rivanis, with whom he celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary this year.
A son of the late Charles and the late Dorothy (Markey) Rivanis, he was born November 12, 1950, in Baldwin Park, California, and moved to Lowell with his family at an early age, where he was educated in the local schools.
Pinkey made his home in the Highlands Section of the city and worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Middlesex County Sheriffs Office for more than 30 years before his retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Kristina Silva and her husband, Eric of Concord, NH, Chuck Rivanis and his wife, Erika of Billerica, and Jonathan Rivanis and his companion, Madison Martel of Billerica; his grandchildren, Anthony Rivanis, Sirena Rivanis, Christopher Silva, James Rivanis, and a grandson, Jackson, who is on the way & expected in January He is also survived by his brothers, Daniel Rivanis and his wife, Linda of Bristol, NH and Michael Rivanis of Lowell; his nephew, whom he considered his son, Jason Rivanis and his wife, Shelley Dodge, and their children, Victoria and Cassidy, all of Lowell; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends throughout MA and CA.
He was also a brother of the late Mary Agnes Rivanis.

HIS FUNERAL WILL BE HELD PRIVATELY. ARRANGEMENTS BY THE MCDONOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 14 HIGHLAND STREET, LOWELL, 978-458-6816. A MEMORIAL MASS WILL BE HELD AFTER COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED
