CHICOPEE – Sandra R. (LaBonte) Dall, 71, of the Montcalm Heights Apartments in the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. She passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born at Providence Hospital in Holyoke, MA on April 27, 1949, the beloved daughter of the late Raymond Joseph LaBonte who was Called Home on December 24, 2006 and Lillian G. (Roy) LaBonte who was Called Home on January 23, 1973. She was raised and educated in Chicopee and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was employed as a Toll Collector with the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority. During her leisure time, she enjoyed playing card games, attending many local bingo games and trying her luck at the local casinos. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and her many friends. In addition to her beloved parents, she was predeceased by her cherished grandson, United States Coast Guard Fireman Austin M. Whalen who was Called Home on May 8, 2020; and her dear brother, Gary R. LaBonte who was Called Home on May 31, 1996. She leaves her three loving children, Jody M. Whalen of Ludlow and Kevin G. Whalen and David M. Whalen, both of Chicopee; her loving companion, Diane “Dee” Bowes with whom she lived in Chicopee; her nine cherished grandchildren; her five cherished great-grandchildren; her two dear brothers, Raymond C. LaBonte and his wife, Anita, and David G. LaBonte and his wife, Roslyn, all of Sebastian, FL; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 9 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will be private. Her funeral arrangements are entrusted to the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
