Obituary

Florence T. (MacIntyre) Stowe, age 88 of Brockton, died December 24, 2020 at the Brockton Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Albert J. Stowe.

Florence was born and raised in Roxbury, MA a daughter of the late Angus and Mary (McIntyre) MacIntyre. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy where she was captain of the women’s basketball team.

After working many years in the housekeeping department at Brockton Hospital, she retired in 1998. She enjoyed her porcelain dolls, word search books, country western music, dancing and watching Dancing with the Stars and Family Feud.
Most importantly, Florence loved spending time with her family and was proud of the job she did raising five young children of her seven children on her own. She will be remembered as a strong, loving and kind woman.

Florence was the mother of Florence Gauthier of Weymouth, John Stowe of Sandwich, Catherine Casale of Raynham, Albert “Butch” Stowe, Jr. of Hope Mills, NC, Annemarie Chester of South Korea, James Stowe of Louisville, KY and Daniel Stowe of Brockton. She leaves 19 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Evelyn Easter of Weymouth, Catherine McIntyre of Bridgewater, Nancy Manganiello of Hanson, Margaret Kepple of Norwood and the late Mary Coyne, Tena Cugno, John, Donald, and Joseph MacIntyre and Grandmother of the late Sean Stowe.

Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Monday January 4, 2021 from 4-7pm. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Burial in Mt. Benedict Cemetery in W. Roxbury. In following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed in the funeral home and church. There is a maximum of 25 people in the funeral home at any one time.
