Elizabeth “Betty” M. (Hughes) Packer, age 92, of Whitman, Massachusetts was a beloved mother. Elizabeth died on December 29, 2020 peacefully at her home in Duxbury, Massachusetts after a short illness.
She was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts on October 10, 1928 the daughter of the late Bertha and James Hughes. Elizabeth attended J.P. High in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Elizabeth was a devoted mother, sister, cousin and friend and a bocce and shuffleboard cheer enthusiast.
Elizabeth was the wife of the late Robert Packer. The mother of the late Robert Packer Jr. of Whitman and Richard Packer of Whitman. She leaves behind her children Kathleen Hendrix of Bridgton, Maine, Maureen Betters of Pembroke, and Thomas Packer of Whitman. Elizabeth is also survived by many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
Funeral and burial services will be private, for immediate family only, to be followed by a Celebration of Life sometime in the summer of 2021.
