Obituary

James “Jim” R. Stoffel, 62, of Franklin, MA passed away on December 28th, 2020 at the Blaire House of Milford after a long illness.

Jim was born in Quincy, MA and was son of the late James H. Stoffel and the late Lillian (Larsen) Stoffel.

He graduated from Franklin High School in the Class of 1976.

Jim was employed by the Department of Developmental Disabilities Services for 37 years, prior to retiring in 2014.

He was active in Franklin Youth Baseball for many years and was a lifelong sports lover.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kathy (Sohl) Stoffel, his son Joshua Stoffel and his partner Ellen Mail, and his daughter Nicole Stoffel and her partner Bruce Buzzelli. He also is survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and a very special friend Karen Mackie.

Due to the COVID-19 gathering restrictions and the family’s concerns for the wellbeing of family members and friends, there are no calling hours and a private graveside service will be held at the Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
