Obituary

Mildred 'Millie' Baritz, 95, of Framingham, formerly Florida. Millie was raised in Chelsea by her late parents, Abraham and Rose Elfman, graduating Chelsea High School, and serving as an air raid warden, Chelsea Naval Hospital volunteer, and Department of the Navy civilian during World War II. She raised her family in Everett and was active in fundraising for Congregation Tifereth Israel.
She was the devoted life and work partner of her late beloved and cherished husband, George Baritz, at their grocery store in Lynn and later at their liquor store/delicatessen in Newton.
Millie and George retired to Florida, where they performed together in the community choral group and were active in community fund raising. She became active in local Temple fund raising after his passing.
Millie was the beloved sister of the late Milton, David, and Ralph Elfman. She was also the loving sister of Barbara Green and her husband Arnold. She was the devoted mother of Steven and his wife Anne, and Richard and his late wife Barbara. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rachel, Maurice, Raymond, and Danielle Bowers and her husband Chris, and her great grandson, Brady. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private services were held.
