Morris W. Reed, 86, lifelong Anderson resident, entered into the arms of his Loving Father on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Edgewater Woods in Anderson following a brief illness.
He was born on June 17, 1934 in Anderson, the son of Ralph and Mary (Hill) Reed. Morris was a graduate of Anderson High School in 1954 and was employed as a toolmaker for Delco Remy Division of General Motors for 31 years, retiring in 1997. He was a man of tremendous faith and attended Madison Park Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and spending time on his houseboat at Dale Hollow. Morris was a very generous man and was a frequent blood donor over the years.
Morris is survived by his wife, Constance “Connie” L. Reed, his children; Morrie (Durena) Reed, Karen (Pat) Manship, Becky(Jason) Swinford; step children; Peggy (Gary) Wigner and Susan (Jack) Fritz; sister, Shirley Valentine; half siblings, Ronnie (Carol) Reed, Larry (Joyce) Balser, Tom (Sandy) Reed, and Phillip (Marsha) Reed; 7 grandchildren, Jayson (Amanda) Manship, Brandon Ferguson, Erica (Eric)Davis, Regan Reed, Bradley Ferguson, Brittany Swinford, Bryant Swinford, seven great grandchildren, Jaci and Jalen Reed, Augustus Ferguson, Aubrey and Emma Davis and Ruby and Simon Manship; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Darlene Jo Reed, his parents, and two brothers, Ralph and Kenny.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
A Private funeral for family members only will follow. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery in Anderson.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Madison Park Church of God.
