Obituary

Ronald Cerra, 72, of Boxford, MA passed away suddenly on December 25th, 2020.
He shared 38 loving years of marriage with Sandra (Erbafina) Cerra and was also the ex-husband of the late Linda Cuoco Cerra. He was a proud father of Lylette and husband Leo Vecchiarello, Nicole and husband Nick Yebba, Joseph and wife Marisa Cerra, Vanessa and husband Frank Connors, and his pal Gus. He was an adored grandfather of Jordan, Lynda, Victoria, Nicholas, Braydon, Giuliana, Briella, Ruby, & Isla, and great grandfather of Corbyn Dallas. Brother of the late Richard Cerra, Lorraine O’leary, Fran Amenta, Tony Cerra, & Henry Bonasera. He was survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, including countless devoted customers. He was born in Everett to the late Joseph and Rose (Famiano) Cerra on November 12th 1948. “He was son in law to Mary Ann Erbafina and the late Domenic Erbafina

He graduated from Medford High. Ronnie will fondly be remembered by family and friends as a devoted husband, a loving father who moved mountains for his children, a super proud Papa, and a cherished friend to many. He was a world class meat cutter who learned the trade from his father Joseph. He went on to become an icon on the Northshore as a specialist in Veal at Lynnfield Meat & Deli and proudly continued his work at Cerra’s market until Christmas Eve 2020. He exemplified amazing work ethic to all who knew him. Aside from his work, he was an avid lover of antique cars and all his hats. He enjoyed long rides along the coastline in his ’56 Desoto with the top down and 50’s music playing. He proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam war.
The impact he made on all of those who crossed his path will last forever, and the
depth of his love, kindness, and compassion will be his lasting legacy. We will all continue “living the dream” for him each day.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday January 8th at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, from 4 to 7 PM. Ronnie’s funeral and burial will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to the veterans.
