Richard P. Geneseo, 66, of Medway, died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Murphy) Geneseo for 43 years.
Born in Framingham on October 14, 1954, he was the son of the late Peter and Eleanor (Roverano) Geneseo.
Rich was a resident of Medway for the past 40 years. He grew up in Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School in 1972.
Before his retirement, Rich worked at F.W. Webb in Bellingham for 13 years and previously at the former J.D. Daddario in Franklin.
Rich loved antique trucks and making wooden toys.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons Nathan Geneseo of Bellingham and Zachary Geneseo and his wife Chelsea Baldwin of Washington, D.C. and three grandchildren, Khloie, Nathan and Cody.
He is also survived by his sister Eleanor “Ellie” Torelli of Framingham, two brothers, Peter Geneseo of Chesterfield, New Hampshire and Robert Geneseo of Hopkinton and many nieces and nephews.
A private funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Medway and his burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family hopes to have a larger celebration of Rich’s life in the future when gatherings are safer.
