Anna Fraczek, 85 of Salem, passed away peacefully at the Lawrence General Hospital on Saturday, December 26, 2020 following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John J. Fraczek with whom she shared 40 years of marriage and entered into eternal life on their wedding anniversary.
Born and raised in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Francziszek and Maria Stefanik. Although separated during the German invasion of Poland, the family was reunited following the war. Her husband emmigrated to the United States in 1961 and 1962, Anna and their son joined him in Salem. Anna devoted most of her time to the care of their young family. As the children progressed in their schooling, she began working as a seamstress for the Beverly Hospital in many different capacities. She retired from the hospital in 1998, well loved and respected.
Anna, a deeply religious woman, was a faithful member of the St. John the Baptist Parish since her arrival in Salem and is now known as the St. John Paul II Shrine of Devine Mercy. She also loved her garden. Anna was devoted to her large extended family, many friends and her church. She will be missed by many.
Anna is survived by her two sons; Alexander S. Fraczek and his wife Pennie and John F. Fraczek and his wife Susan all of Salem, her daughter, Kristina A. Fraczek of Haverhill, a sister Zofia “Sophie” of Poland, nine grandchildren; Dannielle Colwell, Allison Zouin, Christopher Fraczek & Melissa Coppinger, Jacob & Jordan Fraczek, John, Jennifer and Tara Ewart. She also leaves eight Great-grandchildren: Bridget, Zachary, Adam ,Laila, Mia, Johnny, Cammie and William as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings; Thaddeus, Genowefa, Wladek, Stanislaus and Jozef
Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Due to the current Corona Pandemic, all guests must wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing in accordance with Massachusetts Regulations. Her Mass of Christian Burial at the St. John Paul II Shrine of Devine Mercy will be private.
