Norman J. Annesi, 88

Dateline: Norton, MA

Norman J. Annesi, age 88, of Norton, formerly of Walpole passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, December 26, 2020. He was the beloved husband of the late Delores E. “Dee” (Hagen) Annesi, to whom he was wed for sixty-one years at the time of her death on March 19, 2017.

Born in Boston, MA on December 30, 1931, he was a loving son of the late Charles and Anna (Coviello) Annesi.

Norman grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston and was educated in Boston School. During the time of the Korean War, he served as a cook in the United States Navy. He had made his home in Norton for the past five years and was a former fifty year resident of Walpole.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Annesi had worked for over thirty years as a meat cutter for Stop & Shop Supermarkets. He loved spending time with his cherished family, was a member of the Norwood Lodge of Elks and while living in Walpole, he loved gardening an maintaining his yard to perfection.

He is survived by his devoted children: Wayne Annesi of Norton, Brian Annesi and his wife Donna of Norton, Lori Capobianco and her husband Mark of Coventry, Rhode Island and Susan Merhi and her husband Chehab of Chelmsford. He was the dear brother of the late Charles Annesi, Rosalie Kinch, Marilyn Cappello, Delores Messina and is also survived by his treasured 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Services, along with burial at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree will be held privately at a later date and visiting hours are omitted.
