Samuel L. LaRosa
...retired from Alpine Insurance; I.R.S.; age 74
TEWKSBURY - Samuel L. LaRosa, 74, a resident of Tewksbury for more than 4 decades, diedunexpectedly Thursday, July 18, at his home. He was the husband of Pearl (Guzelian) LaRosa,with whom he had celebrated a 44th wedding anniversary on February 2nd.
He was born in Belmont, Feb. 3, 1928, a son of the late Rosario and Pietrina (Sottile) LaRosa. He was raised in Belmont and graduated Belmont High School. He earned a Bachelors Degreefrom Suffolk University in Boston.
During the Korean war, he served in the US Army.
He retired from the Alpine Insurance Agency in Chelmsford, and resumed his career at the I.R.S.Service Center in Andover.
He was an active member of St. Stephen’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Watertown, where hehad also served as President of the St. Stephen’s Couples Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Phillip S. and his wifeMaureen (Morris) LaRosa of Billerica, Weston V. LaRosa of Wilmington and his fiancé ChristineBarnoth of Wilmington, three grandchildren, Domenick, Vincent, and Jospeh LaRosa all ofBillerica, a brother and sister-in-law Robert and Barbara (Cavanaugh) LaRosa of Braintree, andnumerous nieces and nephews.
His funeral Service was held Monday, July 22 in St. Stephen’s ArmenianApostolic Church, Watertown. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery,No. Tewksbury.
