Michael J. Costello, age 65, of Cumberland, RI, formerly of Norwood, MA passed away December 24th at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. Michael was born and raised in Norwood, MA, graduated from Norwood High School, and attended Northeastern University and North Adams State. Michael was a gifted athlete and played football at Norwood High School and enjoyed skating and playing hockey. He worked for many years as a Machinist at Masoneilan Company and THM in Norfolk. Beloved husband of Mary Gemba-Costello. Father of Christopher Costello Cumberland, RI. Brother of Stephen P. Costello and his wife Margaret of Norwood, Martin G. Costello and his wife Kathleen of Attleboro, and Mary T. Bishay and her husband Bahig of Norwood. Son of the late Patrick and Barbara (O’Donnell) Costello. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Norwood Tuesday morning at 11. Burial Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
