Betty Pastir, 92, of Olyphant, passed away on her birthday, Dec. 21, 2020. She died at home surrounded by family. She was the widow of the late George Pastir.
Born in Olyphant, at home, daughter of the late Michael and Mary Hudak Sofranko. She was a graduate of Olyphant High School and was a member of Holy Cross Parish, the Confraternity of Christian Women, Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars. Before retiring, she worked in the garment industry. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose entire life was devoted to loving and supporting her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Lorraine Torres; granddaughter, Jennifer Gray Simonetti; and her great-granddaughters, Victoria and Willow; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Francis, John, Steven, Joseph, George and Paul; sisters, Mary, Teresa, Rose and Anne.

A funeral Mass will be conducted Monday at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Delaware Avenue, in Olyphant. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Blakely.
A viewing for immediate family will be conducted from 9 a.m. until service time. Arrangements entrusted to the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant.
