Obituary

Aurelio Lucchesi, 95, of Nutmeg Drive, Johnston, passed away on December 22nd in Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the husband of the late Vittoria (Magi) Lucchesi. They were married for 45 years at the time of her passing in 1998.

Born in Lucca, Italy, a son of the late Angelo and Emma (Bartolini) Lucchesi. He had served in the Italian Army before coming to the United States of America. He settled in Brooklyn, NY and lived there until 3 years ago he moved to Johnston, RI to live with his daughter and son-in-law.

He had been an Artistic Mold Maker for 29 years before retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Italian American Club where he went daily to socialize and spend time with his friends.

He leaves his children, Nancy Marsland and her husband Jim of Johnston and Elio Lucchesi and his partner Camille Wierzbicky of Massapequa, NY. He was Nonno to Nicholas Lucchesi, Tara Lyons and Danielle Lucchesi. He was the brother of the late Alma and Elio Lucchesi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday December 29th at 10am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Waterman Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be on Wednesday December 30th in Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
