Obituary

On Tuesday, December 22, 2020, AnneMarie Payen, of Hyde Park loving Mother of five children, Grandmother of seven and great grandmother of two, has gone home to be with the Lord at the age of 88 years old with her family by her side after a courageous battle with multiple medical complications. She was a servant of the Lord. As stated in 2 Corinthians 9 vs. 10-11, “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God”. She devoted her life by serving her Lord, raising her kids through good and harsh days, generously helping others, and giving advice to those who sought guidance. AnneMarie loved cooking, spending time with family and friends, which prolong her life with laughter, joy, and happiness.
AnneMarie was born on August 20, 1932, in Cayes-de-Jacmel, Haiti to her loving parents Faneis and Caroline Andris-Payen. She received her schooling from La Madeleine in Jacmel, and later she became the town’s seamstress. She raised five beautiful children in Delmas 44, Port-Au_Prince along with their father Ambroise Frederique and was a well-known member of St. Altagrace. In 1990, she migrated to the US to be by her children with a devoted mission to be available to be the caretaker of all her grandchildren. She was full of energy and enthusiasm and you could not take that away from her. In 2001, she became a member of Boston Missionary Baptist Church and accepted Jesus- Christ as her personal savior followed by her baptism on November 17, 2002. She continued her devotion with the Lord until her last breath.
AnneMarie is survived by her five children, Claude Frederique, Leah Claude, Lucie Payen, Fritz Payan, and Catherine Raymond. Her grandchildren Reginal Wakim, James Payen, Kervin Claude, Ann Claude, Fredrick Payan, Matthew Payan, and Julianne Raymond. Her great grandchildren Ayalis Wakim and Aliana Wakim. Her sons and daughters in law, Consuelo Nunez Wakim, Roger Claude, Jean-Mesac Raymond, Amy Payan and Marayet Tanya Davies. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.



In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines family and friends will Celebrate AnneMarie's life by gathering for Visiting hours in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway on Thursday, January 7th beginning at 9am. Followed by a funeral service.
Burial will take place at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.

Due to the Current Covid 19 restrictions only 25 guests are allowed in the funeral home at a time.
All visitors must wear a MASK in the funeral home and on the funeral home property.
All visitors will then follow SAFE DISTANCING
All visitors may pause at Casket/Urn and then EXIT the Funeral Home.
All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others to enter.
All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
