Obituary

Julieta Quiroga, 88, of Framingham, MA, formerly of Hingham and Needham, died December 21, 2020 from complications due to Covid-19. Born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, Julieta studied at the Music Conservatory in Buenos Aires. Her operatic voice enchanted all who knew her. She was a soloist in her native Bolivia and performed in local choirs through most of her life after emigrating to the United States. An avid gardener, baker and creative soul, she enjoyed travel, the outdoors, and entertaining family and friends in her home. She found time to be active in local garden clubs and volunteered with the American Red Cross.

Julieta was preceded in death by her husband, Jaime R. Quiroga, MD, and son-in-law, Adam May. She is survived by her daughter, Vivian, and husband, Tom, daughter, Sylvia, her sister, Blanca Quiroga Cabrera, grandchildren, Oliver, Nelson, Sabrina, and husband, Gregory, Jessica and Keith. She is also survived by cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, friends and fellow music lovers.

Burial services will be private. In view of the times, a celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham for their competent and compassionate care under the most stressful of circumstances.
