BROOKSVILLE, FL-Minnie Cournoyer-Mattson, 81, of 12332 Porsche Lane died Friday, March 10th in her home. She leaves her husband of 18 years Herbert “Red” Mattson, 6 daughters, Beverly, wife of Donald Daigle of Charlton, Barbara, wife of Frank Somers of Gloucester, Joyce, wife of John Klar of Englewood, FL, Donna, wife of Eric Charbonneau of Rutland, Lorene Stowell of Wilkes-Barre, PA and Heidi, wife of Tim Sanders of Gilford, NH. 4 brothers, Arthur Bolivar of Sutton, Raymond Bolivar of Worcester, Lawrence Bolivar of Raleigh, NC and Robert Bolivar of Auburn. 3 sisters, Evelyn Ormo of Worcester, Estelle D’Agostino of Rochdale, and Florence Hicks of Wolfard, CA, 16 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her first husband Norman Cournoyer, a daughter Norma Porter, a brother Guy A. Bolivar, Jr. and 2 sisters Jenny Dennis and Bernice Woods.
Minnie was born in Auburn the daughter of Guy A. and Frances E. (Hicks) Bolivar and was a graduate of Auburn High School. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling and bingo.
The funeral is Thursday, March 16th with a service at 11:00 AM at O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.
