Obituary

Jean Theragene was born on August 21, 1967 in Croix-des-Bouquet, Haiti to father Cedoine and mother Vernelie (Pierre). He graduated high school in Port-au-Prince. Then he had his first born son Duckenson Theragene in 1987. Jean relocated to Boston, Massachusetts after the birth of his first son to pursue a better living. Jean spent most of his career as a devoted cab driver throughout the City of Boston of which propelled his interest into real estate. Jean raised 6 sons and 1 daughter, Duckenson Theragene, Yarder Richard Theragene, Djimy Marley Theragene, Carl Theragene, Stacey Theragene, Jeffrey Erick Theragene, and Oma Herve Theragene. Jean was married to Marie (Renette) Theragene-Saintilus. Jean had three brothers and three sisters. Jean liked being in the gym, where he enjoyed jogging and lifting weights. Jean liked dancing and loved all types of music. Jean liked to listen to the news about his beloved country - Haiti.

In compliance with COVID-19 guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, visiting hours will be held Friday, December 18 in the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Hwy, Roslindale, from 6-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, December 19 at St. Angela's-Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1548 Blue Hill Ave., Mattapan at 10:00am. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery, Roslindale. Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

*** COVID-19 Guidelines for Funeral Home Capacity and Service Restrictions***

• All visitors (including the family) have a restriction of (25) twenty-five guests allowed in the funeral home at one time
• All visitors must always wear a MASK in the funeral home and on the funeral home property
• All visitors will follow SAFE DISTANCING (recommendation of (6) six feet)
• All visitors may pause at the Casket/Urn and then EXIT the funeral home
• All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to
touch
• All visitors when returning to their cars will please exit the property to allow others
to enter
