Thomas Carroll Holley was born on April 14, 1948 in Edenton, North Carolina to Emma Skinner (deceased) and William Clarence Holley (deceased). Tom attended Edenton High School and loved music, football, and boxing.
In 1965, he relocated to Boston, Massachusetts and began working at Mass General Hospital in the maintenance department. In 1971, he received a promotion and an opportunity to be a supervisor in the maintenance department at University Hospital now known as Boston Medical Center. He would later finish his career at California Paints where he retired from. After retiring, Tom gave back and volunteered in the prison ministry, where he worked with ministers and led daily services, counseling to young men, and organized prayer groups.
During the latter part of his life Tom took great pride in spending time with his “girls” and their children. His favorite time of the year was during the Thanksgiving holidays were he marveled over his favorite turkey dinners and time spent with family.
Tom leaves to cherish his beloved daughters: Thomasa Holley of Bridgeport, CT; Adrian Holley of Mccalla, AL; Andrea Holley of Center Point, Al; Tuere White-Crawford of Attleboro, MA; Tammy Holley-Castillo (Mike) of Stoughton, MA; Yolanda Mayes of Dorchester, MA; Thomasina Holley-Lewis (Oshane) of Rockland, MA, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his brother William “Buck” Holley of Stamford, CT, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Tom is preceded in death by his brothers Russell Holley (Twin), Andrew Simpson, Bob Simpson. Sisters, Fannie Margaret Granby, Hannah Louise Johnson, Dorothy Jean Bond, and Minnie Morring.
