of Winthrop on December 10th, peacefully at the age of 96. Elliot was a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather. Husband of Aileen (Kaplan) for seventy-two years. Dad of Larry & Lauren Swartz, Karen & Dermot Anderson, & Nancy & the late Bill Langevin. Zayde of Jon & Jeni Hayes and Beckett, Jonathan Swartz and his partner Natasha Hensford, Matt Hayes, Ali & Jason Dreessen and Bella, Daniel Swartz, Jenna Swartz and her partner Emily Patterson, and Lena Anderson. Predeceased by his parents Lillian (Wilensky) & Nathan Swartz.
Elliot worked in the automotive industry for over 75 years before semi-retiring at the age of 94 from the business he began 38 years ago, supplying goods to his friends and colleagues at local Ford Parts and Service Departments.
Elliot proudly served as a Marine in the Philippines and China during WW II. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved him but are warmed by the wonderful memories he left for all of us.
Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elliot’s
memory may be made to Brigham and Women’s Hospital or Tufts Medical Center.
