Obituary

Francis R. “Frank” Pellegrino, age 66, a 60-year resident of Peabody, passed away on Dec. 9, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Arlene M. (Mueller) Pellegrino.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph M. and Ethel M. (Meehan) Pellegrino. The family moved to Peabody when he was six years old and he was raised and educated there, graduating from Peabody High School. Mr. Pellegrino attended Salem State College and also received his Master’s Degree in Education from Tufts University. He was employed for many years as a butcher in the meat department at Stop and Shop.

In his spare time, Frank enjoyed watching sports, and, in his younger years, he played on a local baseball league and he also coached Little League baseball in Middleton. He also played golf as often as he could, and loved vacationing in the Caribbean .

In addition to his wife, Arlene, Frank is survived by a brother, Kenneth Pellegrino, of Amesbury, and was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Richard Pellegrino. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to briefly visit with the family at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Wed., Dec. 16 from 9:00-10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 712 Lowell St., Peabody, MA 01960, at 11:30AM. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s name may be made to St. Adelaide’s Church at the address listed above.
