Noreen M. (Maturo) Coffey, 56, of Norton died on Saturday March 11, 2006 at home. She was the beloved wife of John Coffey to whom she was wed to on September 10, 1971.
Born in New Haven, CT on November 3, 1949 she was a loving daughter of Ada (Aiudi) Maturo of Orange, CT and the late Michael Maturo.
She was educated in CT schools and was a graduate of Boston University. Noreen was employed as an Occupational Therapist for The Franklin School System in its Bico Collaborate program. She had worked there for 9 years, retiring due to illness. She was formerly employed in the Mansfield School System for 10 years.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton. She was a member of The American Occupational Therapy Association. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society. Noreen had made her home in Norton for the past 30 years.
Besides her husband and mother she is survived by her devoted children John M. Coffey and his wife Lisa of Maryland and Tierney R. Coffey of Norton. Her dear brothers Pasquale Maturo of Orange, CT and Michael Maturo of Ansonia, CT Also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday March 15th at 9:00 A.M. from The Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, South Worcester St., Norton. Burial will follow in The Norton Common Cemetery, Norton
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 14th from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
