WOBURN: Heather A. Young, age 54, a longtime Woburn resident, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
Born in Somerville on April 8, 1966, she was the daughter of Elizabeth J. (McDonald) Young and the late James R. Young.
Heather was raised in Somerville, attended Somerville schools and graduated from Somerville High School in 1984.
She resided in Somerville and Arlington until moving to Woburn in 1990.
Heather was employed for the past 38 years at the Museum of Science in Boston.
She enjoyed spoiling her beloved nieces, traveling to the Bahamas, visiting Casinos, attending Vince Gill concerts, and was an avid collector of Beauty and the Beast memorabilia. In addition, Heather enjoyed photography and craft projects.
She will be lovingly remembered for her generosity and her artistic talents.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sister, Moira J. Young of Woburn; her brother, Robert J. Young and his wife Leslie of Tewksbury; her beloved nieces, Mackenzie and Abbie Young, both of Tewksbury; also numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, there are no services at this time. A Life Celebration for Heather is planned for a later date.
