WORCESTER-Dorothy A. (Lizotte) Hanson, 86, formerly of Garnet St. died Saturday, March 11 in the St. Francis Home.
Her husband, Gunnar C. Hanson died in 1985. She leaves three sons, Richard G. of Oxford, Robert C. of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Carl J. Hanson of Worcester; a sister, Susan Bliss of N. Brookfield; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Joseph and Susan P. (Jordan) Lizotte. She was a member of the Bethlehem Covenant Church and the SAC Park Women’s Auxiliary and served as its secretary for 8 years.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 14 at 10:00 AM at LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. Visiting hours will be Monday, March 13 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
