Obituary

SOUTH HADLEY - Corinne V. LeMay, 99, of Kenlee Gardens in South Hadley, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. She was born in Springfield on July 18, 1921, the daughter of the late William H. and Gertrude M. (Roberts) LeMay. She was raised in Chicopee Falls where she lived most her life. She graduated from Chicopee High School, Class of 1939. She worked at the Chicopee Manufacturing Company, the Springfield Armory and the Van Norman Machine & Tool Company. She retired from the Monsanto Company in 1984. Corinne loved spending time with her family and friends and was active in her Catholic faith which included many years of involvement with Diocesan Confraternity of Christian Doctrine. She currently was a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, G. Rita Laporte (Larry); her five brothers, Harold (Lucille), Stanley (Irene), Herbert (Sue), Stuart (Jennie) and Kenneth (Bernice); her three nephews, Earl, Douglas and Harry LeMay; a niece, Vivian LeMay; a grandnephew, Shawn LeMay; and a grandniece, Tina Marie LeMay. She leaves two nephews, Richard LeMay (Lois) of Yuma, AZ and Paul LeMay (Bea) of Colorado Springs, CO; her five nieces, Nellie LeMay of Monson, Joanne Pisciotti of Clovis, CA, Janet Sablowski (Ronald) of Palmdale, CA, Carol Jean Balogh of Odessa, FL and Marilyn Patterson (Urban) of Reisterstown, MD. She also leaves several grandnephews and grandnieces in Oregon, Maryland, Nevada and California. Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her Burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to her Mass. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (please note that masks are required, social distancing must be observed and funeral home, Church and cemetery capacity is limited due to state regulations).
