Obituary

DELANEY- Of Revere, formerly of Chelsea, March 10th, Thomas A. Devoted husband of Evelyn L. (O'Connor). Beloved father of Patricia Ann Delaney and her husband Gary Gilbert of Wellesley. Dear and loving brother of Dolores Delaney of Winchester, Marie Delaney of Chelsea, Herbert Delaney on Harwich and the late Joseph Delaney, John Delaney, Rita Delaney, Daniel Delaney, Francis Delaney and Therese Breault. Also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Wednesday morning, March 15th at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in The Immaculate Conception Church, 133 Beach Street, REVERE at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Retired 35 year employee of the United States Postal Service, WWII Marine Corp. Veteran and member of the Chelsea K of C # 83.

Born in Chelsea and a graduate of Chelsea High School, Thomas, at 81 years of age, passed away at the Chelsea Soldiers Home, where he had been a resident receiving supportive care since December 30th of last year. An employee of the United States Postal Service for over 35 years, he worked as a letter carrier as well as a clerk in the Chelsea and Revere Post offices.
