Obituary

We celebrate the life of Mary K. Martinez of the South End of Boston, MA, who passed away, on Saturday, November 28th, 2020.

Mary was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, and Sister. She always shared her beautiful helping hands to anyone in need. She was loving, selfless, forgiving, and a fierce protector toward her beloved family. She embodied the word 'LOVE'. Her legacy will live on forever in the hearts of the hundreds of people she helped. She was truly one of God's soldiers on earth...an Earth Angel! She was strong, brave and courageous and had a heart of gold. She is now with her heavenly father.

She is survived by her children, Reynardo, Edward and wife Marty, David, and John Martinez, Regina Burkhead and husband James, Juan Ali Robles and wife Keri, Armando Robles and wife Brandy. Also survived by her beautiful grandchildren Junito and Jonathan Martinez, Kaisha, Jovanny, Jamie, Wanda, Felix, Freddie, and Anthony Burgos, Estevie Diaz, Jahaira, and John Jr. Martinez, Deven, Ty, Aljaya, Jataya and Shanaya Robles, Avalon David, Solomon Bonilla and Pre-deceased grandchildren, Teyamo and Joseph Martinez. Survived by 10 great grandchildren. And also survived by her beloved brother John Lenhardt.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, December 8th, 2020 at 6:00pm-8:00pm at Casper Funeral Services, 187 Dorchester St, South Boston, MA 02127.

If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
