Obituary

Willa Jean (Bo Peep) Parks Irvin, 85, of Sycamore passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Cypress Pond in Tifton.

Bo Peep was born on August 3, 1935 in Sumner to the late Benjamin Arlis and Willie Mae Dorminey Parks. She was a homemaker and a member of Inaha Baptist Church. Nicknamed at a young age as “Bo Peep”, she later became known to family as Mema. She enjoyed gardening, interior decorating, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was known for her classic sense of fashion and style and keeping an immaculate home. Bo Peep was a dedicated and life long supporter of the family farm.

She is survived by her son, Rusty (Lynne) Irvin of Ashburn; grandchildren, Jessica (Chris) Pendleton of Tifton and Joshua (Dawn) Irvin of Ashburn; great grandchildren, Tyler Mercer, Chase Pendleton, Ryan Mercer, Aubrey Irvin and Rigsby Irvin; brother, Ray Parks, Sumner, Ga. and sisters, Laverne Bridges, Sylvester, Ga. and Doris Brown, Sumner, Ga.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Fletcher Irvin and her daughter Vicki Knight.

For those who wish to pay their respects and sign the family’s guest register, you may do so from l:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Perry Funeral Chapel. A private, family only graveside will be held at a later time.
