Obituary

Robert E. Charron, 70

Dateline: Pawtucket, Rhode Island

Robert E. Charron, age 70, of Pawtucket, formerly of South Attleboro and Attleboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence.

He was the beloved husband of the late Deborah A. (Merow) Charron, to whom he was wed for eleven years at the time of her death on August 29, 2006.

Born in Attleboro, MA on July 27, 1950, he was a loving son of the late Alfred H., Sr. and Ida S. (Mallon) Charron.

Bob grew up and was educated in South Attleboro. He had made his home in Pawtucket for several years and formerly resided in South Attleboro and Attleboro. His working career was spent as a truck driver and prior to retiring, he had worked for several years at the Mega Disposal Company in Seekonk.

Bob’s family was truly the focal point and love of his life and he treasured spending time with his grandchildren, especially his grandson Riley. At the time of his death, he was eagerly anticipating the birth of his fifth grandchild.

His favorite pastimes were trips to ocean and watching the boats come in, anything to do with nature, tinkering around with projects in his garage and he will always be remembered for his exceptionally strong work ethics.

He is survived by his devoted daughters: Crystal Bourgault of Pawtucket and Kristen Charron of Pawtucket. He was the cherished grandfather of Riley, Jessica, Jordan and Brooklyn. He was the dear brother of Nancy Blanchette of Attleboro, Janet Goldsmith of Florida, Alfred Charron, Jr. of Berkley, Gail Dorrance and her husband Phil of Attleboro, Charlotte Martineau and her husband Roger of Rehoboth and the late Linda Bozek. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews, including Donna White, Will Decelles, Steph Decelles and Eric Merow.

Service and burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
