Treva Carol (Berkebile) Melson, 78, of Anderson died November 22, 2020 at Community Hospital ER after a sudden illness.
She was born July 5, 1942, in Anderson, the daughter of Lemule Miller Berkebile and Treva Christine (Reeder) Van Dyke. She was a graduate of Anderson High School class of 1960.
She was a member of Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority; active in card group, loved to play bridge; avid bowler, enjoyed camping and spent the winter in Florida.
Treva is survived by her son, Bob Melson of Anderson; her daughter, Sandi (Melson) Jones of Elwood; sister, Julia (Larry) Gaskill of Pendleton; sister-in-law, Carolyn Melson of Anderson; two grandchildren, Megan Jones and Riley Jones; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James R. Melson died May 3, 2019; brother, Jack Berkebile; brother-in-law, Robert Melson and a granddaughter, Holly Brewer.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Claudean Webb of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Kingston Avenue Baptist Church.
